09 Apr Band photography shoot for “Breath”
We sure wouldn’t class ourselves as “band photographers” but when you get presented with the opportunity to photograph a beatboxer, shakuhachi flute player and didgeridoo player, on the beach at sunset… how could you resist!
The newly formed band “Breath” were needing some quality photographs to use for concert posters, CD artwork, flyers, social media and website.
Being such an organic mix of instruments and individuals we felt that the beach would be a fitting setting for the shoot. We wanted to get the most out of the photoshoot so decided to start in the studio to make some powerful portraits of the band first.
Here are some of the photos taken and a chance to introduce the band members.
Meet Reo Matsumoto… amazing beatboxer
Meet Anne Norman… incredible shakuhachi flute player
Meet Sanshi… didgeridoo legend
With a solid studio session “in the can” we were all fully pumped and ready to hit the beach. The sun was perfect when we arrived so there was no time wasted and we dove straight into part 2 of the shoot.
We couldn’t have asked for better weather, it was one of those rare moments when the photography fairies were with us.
There were loads of great shots from the beach shoot… here are some of them…
From this single photo shoot session, the band now have a beautiful library of images that they love and that will transform their marketing!
A massive thanks the Reo, Anne & Sanshi from “Breath” who are an absolute pleasure to work with.
